Enable the 'Unknown Sources' Option
1. If you get the 'Install blocked' message when you try to install OverDrive's mobile app for
Android, tap Settings. Otherwise, from your home screen, tap the Menu button, then Settings.
2. From the 'Settings' screen, go to 'Applications'. Tap the check next to Unknown Sources.
Note: Tapping Settings while trying to install an app sends you directly to the 'Applications'
screen.
3. Review the 'Attention' message. Tap OK to continue.
4. Make sure there is a check in the Unknown sources box. Tap your Home button.
Run the Setup for OverDrive Media Console
The following steps assume that you've already downloaded the installation file. If you haven't, check
out our handout on how to install OverDrive's mobile app on an Android device.
1. Open the Android web browser.
2. Tap the Menu button. Tap More to display more menu options.
3. Tap Downloads to open your 'Download history'.
4. Locate and tap ODMediaConsoleSetup.apk. You will find the file listed under the day you
downloaded it.
5. Review the application permissions. Tap Install to start the installation. The app installs.
6. Tap Open to launch OMC for Android, or tap Done to close the installer.
